Hello everyone,
Recently I've been given forum rights to apply some basic site changes.
I've already applied a few small changes to the site:
- Created a new forum banner.
- Fixed some missing image issues on the Home page.
- Optimized default styling for "My Profile" section, all text is now read-able.
- Disabled the Downloads tab until its functionality is fixed.
- Disabled showing avatars on front page news section.
I'm open for suggestions and looking for bugs to fix,
simply send me a PM or just reply below in this topic and I'll see what I can do
Greetings,
Muerte

Thanks

I've also updated front page layout some more.
- Changed it in a 2 column based layout.
- Removed the useless blocks such as calendar, ...
- Added some color to add some depth.
And further more:
- Fixed "Chat" Nav Tab from also selecting the Forum tab.
Hopefully everyone likes it

Non-ASCII test: ? ? ? ?
Okay, it seems like non-ASCII characters still require a fix. :P

k perfect, I still seem to have some issues with certain russian characters, not sure how to fix that at this moment.
oh btw, I haven't changed the actual database encoding. I've only changed the HTML attribute so this change came without risk. seems like database was already set for UTF-8?
In case the site is ever to be moved or a backup to be used, we should probably ensure somehow the Non-Ascii characters remain intact. Someone with more access then me should probably apply this in case the database char set is set to Latin1 instead of UTF-8:
http://alexking.org/blog/2008/03/06/mysql-latin1-utf8-conversion This would be a life saver.
I think its time for some site backups

When I visit the site trough my BlackBerry, it shows as blank.
Does it appears as blank for anyone else with a different mobile device?

It's always done that for me on my iPhone but it works fine on an iPad.

Ok, to make the site more accessible I have asked Monday to upload Tapatalk (as I do not have FTP access myself).
Tapatalk is a very clean forum application for smartphones.

Think I just fixed the Mobile Style. Tapatalk will still be better though

It always looked fine on my Droid. I would suggest getting a better phone.

Good advice, I should get a new phone - donations welcome

I think your android was for some reason getting the full version and not the mobile one.
The problem was that the theming of the Portal Modification (e.g. for front page) is not up to date with our latest version of vBulletin.
In the awaiting for an update I have applied a temporary fix that prevents the site from showing as empty

- added a 25 line limit to the syntax highlighter before a scroll bar appears (as requested by satoon).
